Abraham Lincoln: Carte de Visite of 1858 Portrait. CDV copy image by pioneer Detroit photographer J. J. Bardwell of ambrotype portrait of Abraham Lincoln taken by T. P. Pearson of Macomb, Illinois in 1858, during the Lincoln-Douglas debates. Discolored on both sides with minor loss on verso. Image is bold and resonant. Circa 1859-1860. A prohibitively rare image in any format, especially contemporary with Lincoln.
