Description

Harry S Truman: Infamous "Dewey Defeats Truman" Newspaper. Complete copy (both sections) of the most famous "error" newspaper of all time, the November 3, 1948 edition of the Chicago Daily Tribune, announcing in a banner headline "Dewey Defeats Truman". Truman must have been saying "How sweet it is!" when he publicly mocked the newspaper's publisher who had been a thorn in his side during his entire presidency. Measures 17" x 23.5".

Condition: Minor restoration, light toning. In fine condition.
