Description
Zachary Taylor: Inauguration Ribbon. This 2 1/4" x 5" ribbon was originally issued in the 1848 presidential campaign, on behalf of "The Peoples Choice", Z. Taylor. After the election, they added an imprint: "Inaugurated March 5th 1849." We believe this was the only time the inauguration date fell on a Sunday, prompting a postponement until the following day. It is in mint condition.Auction Info
