Description
McKinley & Hobart: Ornate Commercial Travelers Badge. This is an example of an "over the top" campaign item that they simply don't make anymore. It truly has all the bells and whistles and we'll have to let the picture speak for itself. It apparently was issued for the Commercial Travelers (a.k.a., traveling salesmen) who belonged to the Sound Money League. We find the slogan at the bottom rather enigmatic ("As We Journey Through Life, Let Us Live By the Way." It measures 2 ½" x 11" overall and features an 1 ¼" McKinley-Hobart jugate. Naturally, it was made by the Whitehead & Hoag Company and has their label affixed to the reverse.Auction Info
