Description
James K. Polk: Wonderful Louisiana Anti-Bank Silk Ribbon. This might be the best Polk ribbon we have ever seen. It measures 3" x 7" and was authorized and "Approved by the Louisiana State Democratic General Committee." It was engraved by J. V. Childs of New Orleans. It has some great design elements including an eagle, draped U. S. and Lone Star flags, scenes of commerce, a large portrait of Polk, and an anti-bank quote by the candidate. It is titled: "James K. Polk. The People's Candidate for the Eleventh President of the United States of America." Light overall toning and soiling. Displays quite decently. Go find another!! From the Merrill C.
