Sterling Silver Box Presented to Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson, Benefiting Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. The box is engraved, "Vice President / Lyndon B. Johnson / Michigan - Jefferson - Jackson Day / March 2, 1963". The 6.25-inch by 3.25-inch box was given to the vice president by the Michigan Democratic Committee in commemoration of his participation in the annual Democratic Party fundraising event. The box is marked, "Smith & Smith / Sterling". This lot will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity signed by Lynda Johnson Robb.A full 100% of the net proceeds will benefit the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at the University of Texas at Austin, in honor of the 2012 Centennial of Lady Bird Johnson's birth.
