Description
Juvenia $10 1932 Gold Coin Man's Watch with an 18K Gold Case. The watchcase has the shaved obverse of a 1932 United States ten dollar gold piece as a cover. The shaved reverse of the same coin serves as the back of the watchcase. By pushing the button on the right side of the case, the top flips up, revealing the watch face. This watch was produced in the 1960s and was most likely given to Lyndon Johnson during his presidency. The buckle and the strap are original to the watch. The watch is missing the crystal and had a slight dent on the lid, otherwise, in fine condition.A full 100% of the net proceeds will benefit the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at the University of Texas at Austin, in honor of the 2012 Centennial of Lady Bird Johnson's birth.
