Jacqueline Kennedy: Personally-Owned Gold-Plated Christine Dior Necklace. Gilt metal and simulated coral bead chain necklace personally owned by Jackie Kennedy and sold by Sotheby's in sale #6834 ("The Estate of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis") in 1996. The necklace features six graduated strands of gold-plated square-linked chain, punctuated with 23 fluted spherical beads of faux coral. A charm near the clasp identifies it as Dior, made in Germany in 1973. Necklace measures 19.25" from clasp to its lowermost point. Sold with a Nate D. Sanders Certificate of Authenticity and a copy of the 1996 Sotheby's invoice. A stunning piece of jewelry by the ever fashionable First Lady.
