Description
Gilt Sterling Silver Covered Dish, Benefiting Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Beautifully hand-fashioned by the seventy-year-old Mexico City atelier silversmith firm of Tane, this covered dish has highlights of gold alternating with the natural silver finish. Extremely heavy, this dish is of the highest quality. It measures 4.5-inches to the top of the finial and is 4.5-inches in diameter. The piece is marked, "Tane / Hecho en Mexico / Sterling / 925". This lot will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity signed by Lynda Johnson Robb.A full 100% of the net proceeds will benefit the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at the University of Texas at Austin, in honor of the 2012 Centennial of Lady Bird Johnson's birth.
