Description
Cartier 18K Gold and Diamond Ladies Home Journal Woman of the Year Award for 1975 Presented to Lady Bird Johnson, Benefiting Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. The stylized gold "W" is set with a round brilliant cut diamond, approximately .33 ct., KL, VS1. Engraved on the side is "Woman of the Year 1975 Lady Bird Johnson". The piece is fitted with both a pin-back and a bezel for use on a necklace. The approximate gross weight is 44.3 grams. The award comes in a custom fitted red Cartier box. This lot will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity signed by Lynda Johnson Robb.A full 100% of the net proceeds will benefit the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at the University of Texas at Austin, in honor of the 2012 Centennial of Lady Bird Johnson's birth.
