[Abraham Lincoln] White House Dinner Plate from the Lincoln Service. 9.5" in diameter, marked "Fabrique par Haviland & Co./ pour/ J. W. Boteler & Bro:/ Washington". This beautiful plate was one of the replacement plates ordered from J. W. Boteler & Brothers by the White House during the Grant and Arthur administrations. This plate, like the original pieces ordered by Mrs. Lincoln, were made by the French firm Haviland. One small chip on the rim at the 12:00 position, else very fine.Auction Info
