Description

Lincoln Wide Awakes: A Rare 1860 Campaign Broadside. A September 6, 1860 call for members to appear "fully equipped," presumably for a campaign rally or parade. Of the various uniformed political marching units who graced 19th century political torchlight rallies and parades, the Wide Awakes were the most famous. Minor light soiling/aging, and the printing is uniformly slightly faded, but very presentable overall display appearance. Minor pieces torn from each corner that presumably occurred when the broadside was torn down. A great "period" Lincoln item. 13.75" x 10".
