Description

John P. Hale: Free Soil Party Broadsheet. 15.5" x 22" two-sided broadside issued as a "Boston Commonwealth... Extra", titled "The Platforms of the Parties. Read, Reflect, and then Act!" It prints the platforms of the Pierce & King, Scott & Graham and Hale & Julian tickets and favors the Hale ticket. The verso prints the text of "The Fugitive Slave Law! America's Bill of Abominations!!" along with a diatribe critical of the bill.

Condition: Some loss along one edge. Fully intact. Very good overall.
