Description
Abraham Lincoln: First Reading of the Emancipation Proclamation Engraving. 25.5" x 36" engraving titled "The First Reading of the Emancipation Proclamation Before the Cabinet". Engraved by A. H. Ritchie. Published by F. B. Carpenter in 1866 after his painting done at the White House. Some chipping and tears on the top border. Light toning, but with none of the damp stains typically seen. Good condition overall. Will mat and frame quite nicely.Auction Info
