Abraham Lincoln: Emancipation Proclamation Engraving. 22" x 19" engraving titled: "Reading the Emancipation Proclamation". It shows an African American soldier reading aloud the text of the Emancipation Proclamation to his family. Published in 1864 by Lucius Stebbins of Connecticut. Light, even toning. Currently housed in a period frame measuring 22.5" x 22.25" with vintage bubble glass. Great subject matter.
