Description

William McKinley: Graphic and Rare Pan American Exposition Broadside. 28" x 42" poster (mounted to linen) titled "A Mighty National Event. Thursday, Sept. 5, President's Day Pan-Am. Exposition". It appears nearly the entire government attended, including the Cabinet, the Justices of the Supreme Court, members of the Diplomatic Corps and the 72-piece U.S. Marine Band. McKinley was shot the next day by anarchist Leon Czolgosz, succumbing to his wound (and less-than-stellar medical treatment) on September 14th. Printed by the Courier Company of Buffalo. Some very minor restoration to letters. We can locate no other copies. Ready to frame, hang and enjoy!
