Description

Bryan & Sewall: Exceptional Never-Before-Seen Jugate Poster. 26" x 20" [sight] chromolithograph titled "Democratic Nominees". It features large oval portraits of the 1896 Democrats with an eagle, shield, laurel and arrows in-between. It is inscribed at top "Free Silver, Sixteen to One". The design mimics posters from the 1880s, but the addition to vibrant color takes it to a whole new level. It is matted and framed to an overall size of 29.5" x 23" [not examined out of frame]. There are a few short border tears, light toning, plus two areas of discoloration (board burn), most notably on the first "E" in "Nominees". Very good condition overall. This is the first example we have seen and we are truly impressed. The size is ideal for display.
