Woman's Suffrage: Group of Six Fine Quality Pinbacks. Measuring 3/4" or 7/8" this group of 6 pins includes a portrait pinback for Bina West with back paper identifying her as "Fraternally Yours, Miss Bina M. West Supreme Commander of the WBA, Port Huron, Michigan". West founded the Woman's Benefit Association (WBA) of the Maccabees, a fraternal insurance organization that provided insurance policies. Another unusual pinback is printed, "Ballots For Both". This slogan was the winning entry in a National American Woman Suffrage Association contest to replace the "Votes For Women" slogan after an Italian immigrant misunderstood the "Votes for Women" slogan assuming suffragists were trying to deny his right to vote.Condition: Scuffing to "I Am A Citizen" button, balance excellent.
