Description
William McKinley: Large Lithographed Shield Shaped Campaign Badge, measuring approximately 3.5" x 4" and bearing the words, "McKinley for Protection" surrounding a recessed portrait of the man himself. The badge is made of pressed tin and is marked with the maker's name, "Pacific Sheet Metal Works Lith. S.F.," on the bottom. A folded tab is evident at the top, but, sadly, the pin that would have been attached is missing. The paint is clean and crisp with some slight crazing and some small rub evident on the right and left sides of the president's portrait, respectively. From the Loewenstern Collection.Auction Info
