William Jennings Bryan: "People's Airline" Cartoon Button. Very clever 1 1/4" pinback showing Bryan traveling on a bicycle, over a tightrope, from Lincoln, Nebraska to Washington, D.C. Titled "People's Air Line On to Washington 16 to 1". It mentions the "Trust" issue as well as "Imperialism", thrown in for good measure! Whitehead & Hoag back paper. Circa 1900.One of the best Bryan pins in the hobby, with only several examples known. We have handled only one other, which exhibited significant condition issues.
