William Jennings Bryan: Donkey Vs. Elephant Political Race Button. On this 2" cartoon button, jockey Bryan, aboard the Democratic donkey, wins the race against Taft and the G.O.P. elephant. "Voters" in the stand watch the homestretch duel and it's not even a photo finish! This clever novelty was marketed by F. F. Harl of St. Joseph, Missouri. It has a Whitehead & Hoag back paper. We are selling the Taft mate elsewhere in the sale. This example is in mint condition and very hard to find so.Auction Info
