William Jennings Bryan: Classic "Commoner" On Safe Picture Pin. 1.25" button issued in 1908 promoting the Democratic platform plank "Guarantee of Bank Deposits". Comes in two versions, this being the better one with large sepia portrait of the nominee. Some light foxing and moisture marks, concentrated near bottom edge. Cruver of Chicago back paper.
