Description

William Jennings Bryan 1906 Celluloid Reception Button. 1¼", with a brass pendant and red, white and blue silk suspension ribbon to an overall length of 3½". An attractive button given in honor of a reception for Bryan, probably in conjunction with one of his many speaking engagements during the period. The button features a handsome lithograph portrait of Bryan with the caption "September 1st, 1906, Newark, N.J." The ornate brass pendant frames "Reception to Wm. J. Bryan" under a celluloid protector. Other than some minor foxing at the edge of the button it is in excellent condition.
