Description
William Howard Taft: Jumbo Trade Group Button. Big Bill Taft appears in full color on this big 4" button that declares: "Clothiers' Legion Employers and Workers United Our Craft is for Taft". It is unusual to find a labor-related button from this period, prior to the days of the ILGWU. There is overall scratches and scuffing, a small area of yellowing on the lower right and some stains on the bottom curl (not visible from the front).There is one deep scratch to the left of the word "Employers", but we cannot determine if it has breeched the surface. It is a decent example overall with no major distractions. The small spot at the bottom, visible in the photo, has cleaned off. The pin is a replacement. This is the Hake book plate specimen.Auction Info
