Description

Thomas Dewey: 1937 District Attorney Campaign Pin. 2 1/4" button issued for Tom Dewey's successful race for District Attorney of Manhattan. He had made a name for himself as a special prosecutor fighting organized crime. The buttons reads: "Campaign Committee Thomas E. Dewey For District Attorney". Best Banner & Novelty Company back paper. Clean, well-centered with no foxing or stains. This is the only example we recall seeing. Dewey used this office as a stepping stone to the governorship and presidential nomination of his party.
