Description
Theodore Roosevelt: Six Assorted Buttons and Badges. Pins range in size from 1¼" to the brass-rimmed 1½" button badges, with the longest tri-colored ribbons and rosettes measuring 2 1/8" x 4½". Three pins feature Roosevelt & Fairbanks jugates, two show Roosevelt, and one depicts a hand of cards with the slogan "Stand Pat!" The charming badge with the "G.O.P." elephant pin retains its backpaper from the N. Shure Company (patented by The Whitehead and Hoag Company), as does the "Stand Pat!" button from the Stand Pat Button Company and the red, white, and blue jugate pin from "W.F. Miller." Aside from some expected aging and light scratching, these are in great condition. The buttons and silks alike remain vibrant and attractive, and all six have pins present.Auction Info
