Taft & Sherman: A Choice Example of the Classic "Elephant Ears" Jugate Button Rarity. Collectors may disagree as to what would be the most desirable jugate button variety, but it is hard to imagine this delightful design failing to make anyone's Top Ten list. What could be more memorable than this crazed-appearing pachyderm with the 1908 running mates pictured on his gigantic ears? It is the mate to the adjacent "clean sweep" design for the opposing ticket of Bryan & Kern-and what a pair they make! Diameter 1¼". Excellent condition. No minimum bid.
