Roosevelt & Fairbanks: The 1¾" "20th Century Club" Jugate, One of the Top Designs from the 1904 Election. We have used the term "iconic" in describing items in this auction, but in no case is it more appropriate than for this sought-after variety. Theodore Roosevelt and his running mate are the engineers steaming "To Washington 1904." Only a handful are known, and this is a choice, unimprovable example, perfectly centered. Only a handful are known, and several of those have condition problems. An important opportunity for the TR specialist or generalist seeking the best designs for various candidates.
