Description

Robert M. LaFollette: An Amazing and Never-Before-Seen 1908 Hopeful Design in 1 1/4" Size. This one gets our vote as the top button variety in this popular collecting specialty. In a pose intended to conjure up Moses & the Ten Commandments, a clearly-recognizable LaFollette points to a stone tablet inscribed "Equal Rights to All Special Privileges to None," with a mountain depicted in the background. The Wisconsin Progressive firebrand's name is found below, and at the top its all-important slogan "1908 For President 1908". A prominent player on the political stage for nearly three decades, LaFollette is particularly collectable because as a 1924 Third Party Progressive presidential candidate, he actually received electoral votes - one of the very few to do so. Condition is outstanding on this important button, sure to draw spirited bidding.
