Description

John F. Kennedy: Kennedy Election Night Staff Button. 3.5" celluloid w/cardboard back and horizontal bar pin. Kennedy campaign staff were required to wear this button for admission past Secret Service security to the Hyannis Port compound on election day in 1960. Due to rainy weather that day nearly all of the handful of known survivors have spotting and stains. This one is particularly clean and once belonged to Paul Corbin, a top Kennedy supporter and integral part of the staff campaign workers for both the JFK and RFK campaigns. Corbin was special assistant to the DNC, and an independent political consultant. He essentially shored up the Catholic vote in Wisconsin for JFK in the 1960 campaign. This button comes from relatives of his estate.

Condition: Small 1/4" red streak from the printing process under the celluloid as manufactured, button presents in clean and glossy condition. The best example we have ever encountered!
