Description
Harding, Coolidge & Penrose: A Rare 1 1/4" Coattail Trigate. All buttons picturing both Harding and Coolidge are scarce and expensive, but this richly colored design from Pennsylvania is one of the most sought-after. J. J. Shaw of Philadelphia back paper. The attached silk ribbons reads: "Women's First Vote/ Vote The Straight Republican Ticket". Boies Penrose was a powerhouse in Keystone State politics, and one might well wonder who was riding whose coat-tails in this instance.Condition: lightly off-center, celluloid split on top half of back curl, barely noticeable from the front. A very clean example with bright colors.
