Description

Eugene V. Debs: 1908 Anti-Taft Cartoon Button. This 1 1/4" cartoon pin relates to a response given by the affable Taft to a voter's question during a 1908 campaign speech. We suspect the guy was a shill. The Socialist Party newspaper, Appeal to Reason, had the button made up and sold it as a fundraiser. This example has the original Appeal to Reason/Whitehead & Hoag back paper and is in mint condition. When will you find another one this nice? God knows.
