Description

Davis & Bryan: Prohibitive Oval Jugate. Since Charles W. Bryan was Governor of Nebraska, it should come as no surprise that a Davis and Bryan Club was established in that state. This 1 ΒΌ" x 7/8" oval button shows the pair and is inscribed "Davis and Bryan Nebraska". It was made by the Parisian Novelty Company of Chicago. Davis-Bryan jugates take a back seat only to Cox-Roosevelt jugates when it comes to rarity. Even the "common" variety sells for upwards of $3,000. Save for a scratch below the word "And", this example is in very fine, clean condition, perfectly centered.
