Description

Bryan & Kern: Gorgeous Jugate. 1908 was the pinnacle year for button design and Ehrman Button Company of Boston made some of the best. This 1 3/4" button is one of theirs. A large, golden eagle appears between sepia portraits on shields of Bryan and Kern. A wreath, "lone star" emblem and letter "T" appears in the background. It makes us think this button was worn by a Texas Democrat. In perfect condition, this should be a $6,000-$8,000 button. Unfortunately, it has numerous surface cracks. It still looks quite impressive and the quality shines through! This is the Hake book plate specimen.
