Description

Al Smith: Early Campaign Mirror. Measuring 2 1/8" across, this pocket mirror urges its female owner to "Vote for Alfred E. Smith". Given that women were given the right to vote in New York in 1917, this may date from that year's election for President of the Board of Aldermen, or the 1918 contest for Governor. A rare item made by Whitehead & Hoag, it is in mint condition save for a small ding by the word "To".
