Abraham Lincoln: Funeral Relic. Interesting group related to Lincoln's funeral in New York City. The key piece is an 1 1.5" x 5.5" white silk ribbon inscribed "A L" with silver metallic fringe. A period mourning cover used to house the relic is inscribed: "Silk from the lining of Mr. Lincoln's Catafalque in New York. For A. A. Ives From Julian B. Curtis. Obtained from Judge Daly December 1865." Accompanied by a book illustration of the event.
