Description

Abraham Lincoln: Colorful Memorial Wall Chart. 28" x 35" hand-colored chart titled "Lincoln". Published at the time of Lincoln's death by Gaylord Watson of New York. Lincoln's portrait dominates this graphic, with portraits of Grant, Meade, Sherman and Sheridan in the four corners. Flag-festooned decorative border. The text includes a biography of Lincoln headed "In Memoriam" plus the text of the Emancipation Proclamation. Restoration to all four corners and parts of borders, damp stains, internal tears, detached sections pieced together. Essentially intact and likely the only copy extant. Handsomely framed in oak.
