William McKinley Inaugural Ephemera. Group lot of seven paper items from McKinley's 1897 and 1901 inaugural ceremonies once belonging to his niece Kittie Endsley Mathews. The group includes: 2 programs for the 1901 ceremonies held at the Capitol on March 4; menu for the Inaugural Supper given on March 4, 1901, with jugate design of McKinley and Roosevelt on the cover; Inaugural Program printed by Darby Printing , Co., with printed price of 10 cents on the cover; Inaugural pass (without the stub present) with McKinley and Roosevelt jugate engraving; handwritten invitation (in an unknown hand) on Executive Mansion stationery, inviting Mr. & Mrs. Henry Mathews to an "informal luncheon at the Executive Mansion on Monday, March 4th, immediately following the Inaugural Exercises at the Capitol."; and an 1896 Inaugural Ball program. All items in good to near fine condition, with excellent provenance from the Endsley family.
