Description
Ulysses S. Grant: 1869 Inaugural Invitation. This 10" x 7" well-designed, engraved invitation to the Inauguration Reception for Grant and Colfax was issued for "Miss Louise Caswell Arthur". It was printed by Philp & Solomons, who also printed the 1865 Lincoln & Johnson invite, as well as the 1868 Johnson impeachment tickets. This is a fine example.Auction Info
