Description
George Washington: "GW with Liberty Cap" Inaugural Button. Albert WI-22a, 23 mm gilt brass, partial shank on verso. Retains about 75% of the original gilding in the recesses. Lovely patina. We sold the Frent example in 2017 for $37,500. Aesthetically, this is a better example, although the shank is incomplete. It should be a hotly-contested item.Auction Info
