Description

Grover Cleveland et al: Twelve Assorted Lapel Badges Includes Benjamin Harrison. An eclectic group of a dozen lapel pieces from 1884 and 1888 that display very nicely together! There are several fine items here. A jugate moonstone stud with conjoined busts of Harrison and Morton. A 2 3/4" long brass shell badge has bright jugate images of Cleveland & Thurman with a lustrous eagle hanger and red, white, and blue ribbon backdrop. Another Cleveland & Thurman jugate has conjoined portraits within a 1" circular metal frame stickpin. A 7/8" x 1 1/2" cloth flag on a stickpin for Cleveland & Thurman is unusual. A 1 1/4" x 3 1/4" patriotic flag ribbon is very attractive and features a paper portrait of Harrison on a silvered metal die cut banner. A 2 1/2" long broom with red, white, and blue bristles has a paper jugate of Harrison & Morton and retains its original pin, a great example!

Condition: Two items are missing their pins on the reverse: a Cleveland paper portrait in star-shaped brass shell, and the Harrison hat with red cloth band. Otherwise, the items are in excellent condition.
