Description
George Washington: Very Rare "Dotted Script" Variant 1789 Inaugural Coat Button. Listed by Albert as a WI 9A (with design showing on the back), a rare variant given an R6 rarity rating. This is an excavated example which was never cleaned, and retains very sharp devices and the original shank. However, there are several slight bends, one of which has caused the words "Live the" to be obscured as shown. Also listed as GW-1879-2 by DeWitt.Auction Info
