Description
Abraham Lincoln: 1864 Ferrotype on Rosette. 18mm ferrotype of "A. Lincoln." in a roped brass frame, affixed to a red, white and blue silk rosette with three ribbons below, one inscribed "Union" and another inscribed "Constitution".Condition: A few emulsion bubbles not affecting portrait. Loss to two of the ribbons. The "Constitution" ribbon is detached, but present. Looks great. We know of only two other examples, one glued to a board and the other with heavily soiled ribbons. Finest known!
