Description
Abraham Lincoln: 1860 Back-to-Back Ferrotype. Lincoln and Hamlin appear on this 25mm. brass medalet.Condition: The Lincoln side shows light wear with a few minor surface blemishes. The Hamlin side exhibits several surface scratches in the field and presents an unusual portrait variant, one not commonly encountered, with markings that give the appearance of a hand-added moustache. Despite this anomaly, the button remains a solid example and incorporates Brady's iconic Cooper Union portrait of Lincoln.
