Edward Everett: Civil War Oration Broadside. The gifted orator, Edward Everett, is the star attraction on this 8" x 19" broadside advertising an appearance at Boston's Academy of Music on July 4, 1861. He was to speak on "The Great Issues Now Before the Country" accompanied by three musical selections performed by the Pupils of the Blind Institute. "The entire net proceeds will be devoted to the relief of the Families of the New York Volunteers." It is beautifully matted and frame to an overall size of 20" 23".
