Black Panther Mother and Child Poster by Emory Douglas. 17.5" x 22.75". San Francisco: Black Panther Party, 1967. A brightly colored poster featuring a woman and her child holding what appears to be a toy rifle by graphic artist Emory Douglas, who served as the Revolutionary Artist and Minister of Culture for the Black Panther Party. This is a controversial image, suggesting it's never too early to practice self-defense.Condition: Smoothed folds. Bumped corners. Very minor holes at upper right margin, presumably from previous mounting, that do not touch image.
