Description

Abraham Lincoln: Four Glass Lantern Slides. Of the four, two are wooden slides-these include a portrait of Abraham Lincoln with text promoting "T.H. McAllister, Manufacturing Optician," and a rare color assassination slide picturing the Lincolns and John Wilkes Booth at Ford's Theater, titled "Assassination of Lincoln." These each measure approximately 7" x 4". The two glass slides are rare anti-Lincoln examples. They have captions reading, "Lincoln-Douglas Rail Fence Handicap. Campaign Cartoon 1860 Election" and "Abraham Lincoln: Cartoon. An English View-Matt Morgan," respectively. Each of these measures 4" x 3.25".

Condition: Minor pest damage to the label on the assassination slide. The slide featuring the Abraham Lincoln cartoon with Lincoln in high-waisted striped pants has some fingerprints in the adhesive remnants along the edges.
