Description
Abraham Lincoln: Five Different Campaign Medals. A nice group of five medals for Lincoln. (1) The largest is AL-1860-9, 40mm, in copper with thick planchet. A beautiful example with Stephen A. Douglas bust on the reverse. (2) AL-1864-5, 32mm, white metal. (3) AL-1864-10, 31mm, in brass. (4) AL-1864-29, 28mm, brass. (5) AL-1864-28, 28mm, white metal.Condition: Item (1) is beautifully toned, a high grade example. Item (2) has a few small scratches and rim bruises. Item (3) is bright with nice luster but has discoloration on the reverse in the center oval device with "US". Item (4) a small carbon spec on obverse but an attractive and nicely toned example. Item (5) has a small gouge in the rim at 7 o'clock and a few nicks to the rim on reverse.
