Description

Abraham Lincoln: 1861-Dated Woven Silk Inaugural Ribbon.
"A. Lincoln President" below his portrait, with a colorful eagle and shield with "Union For Ever" streamer above. Made by Isaac Dreyfus Sons, Basle, Switzerland. The beardless image likely copied from the "Cooper Union" pose taken by Mathew Brady, which helped propel Lincoln to the White House. The ribbon measures a substantial 5" x 9", and has bold bright colors. Would make a great centerpiece in a Lincoln display!
