John Adams: Impressive Large Liverpool Jug. 9.5" tall pitcher with transfer portrait of "John Adams, President of the United States of America" on one side, a three-masted sailing ship flying a 16-star American flag on the other (hand-painted highlights) and eagle and personalized "WM" monogram of the owner below the spout. Displays in mint condition, but we believe it has had some museum-grade restoration which is all but imperceptible. The transfers are crisp & bold. Given Adam's lack of popularity and his single term in office, little in the way of material culture is available for this "Founding Father".Auction Info
